“I had never really been interested in politics.
True, I had been involved to an extent, campaigning and working elections. But I never felt interested in how the political process actually works. So when I had people telling me I should attend Patriot Academy, I was extremely skeptical. I was really afraid that it would be a waste of time.
However, my love of trying new things overshadowed that fear, and I can now honestly say that choosing to attend Patriot Academy was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Surrounding myself with like-minded individuals for an entire week challenged me, taught me, and refreshed me. Living in a world of people who don’t care what happens next is often exhausting, so choosing to learn more about conservative values in the political world and engaging with other students at Patriot Academy was a fantastic decision.
Patriot Academy was so much more than just a week of my summer – it was an investment in my life as a follower of Christ. I am incredibly grateful for the speakers, the staff, and the fellow students who made the week so worthwhile.
