There is a war for who sits on the throne of America.
That’s right… the throne.
America Is an experiment of freedom unlike any other in the history of the world. But even with how different our system of government is, we still have a seat of power.
Where there is confusion, is who sits on that seat of power.
Betrayal, lies, corruption, shady deals, etc. America is in the grips of hundreds of conflicting schools of thought, so that many people are crowning the wrong king.
So who is the king of America?
This is one of the most highly debated topics in our nation, and of the world.
Congress thinks they’re king, the courts think they’re the Monarch of the land, sometimes a President will think that he is the king.
But none of these are the king of America.
If you want to find out who our king is all you have to do is look at the preamble of our Constitution.
It says in large print “We the People…”
We are the ones who established this nation.
This country was conceived by farmers, merchants, commoners, elites, preachers, teachers, etc. It was made for every man, by everyday men.
And since it was established by those men, it must be preserved by “we the people”.
The only way we can preserve this nation is if we become a well-informed public once again.
We have let the courts not only sit on our throne, but walk all over it with their corruption. We have from time to time also allowed Presidents to exploit their checks and balances.
Most recently we have let this nation’s bureaucracy, chain this nation in red tape that should be around the bureaucracies. We have let our bureaucracy get so out of hand that our new rallying cry for our nation should be, “no regulation, without representation”, and we just sit by and watch.
We regularly let congress, who is supposed to be closest to the people, cross the line too many times.
We must keep our elected officials accountable to… you got it, “we the people”.
Like I said, a well-informed public is this country’s best defense against tyranny.
We the people are responsible for the achievements and failures as much as those in office are, after all we put them there. We have let corrupt officials build themselves a throne of lies, and we have let themselves believe they have the right to rule.
We have dethroned ourselves.
So what are some simple things you can do to make yourself better informed?
You can start by actually reading our founding documents.
If you took just five minutes out of your day to read the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, the Articles of Confederation, etc. you would have read more than most of our elected officials.
Read books and essays by great minds through-out history that have defended liberty.
Once you get in that habit, start reading news articles and blogs from a trusted source.
One of the responsibilities you have as being a member of a republic is to remain well-informed, sometimes this can be hard for us. Thus, why we need to read, listen, and watch those who we trust to stay informed.
Another way to be a responsible American, is to actually read some of the bills that may matter to you. Just don’t take other peoples word for it, do your own research.
If you hear something questionable, look at it for yourself and see what you think.
Then compare and contrast that bill to the Constitution, and see if they line up.
Our nation as always is at a crossroads.
We must decide:
Will we continue to let illegitimate kings sit on the throne of this country?
Or will we stand up and fight for what belongs to us?
The choice is up to you.
