When I see a Vietnam War veteran, I always greet them with the two words many of them never heard upon return from that combat operation: “welcome home.” It means the world to them — I should know since my older brother was a Vietnam Marine, wounded at Khe Sahn and my father-in-law was an Army infantryman in Vietnam. He’s now buried in Arlington National Cemetery.
This year marks a seminal event in the Vietnam War, a turning point as it’s the 50th anniversary of the Tet Offensive in 1968. Tet was a resounding win for our U.S. forces, but the liberal progressive media, namely Walter Cronkite, played it as a victory for the Viet Cong and the NVA. Even famed NVA General Giap admitted that the media propaganda from the United States bolstered their efforts, and provided encouragement. And so it was, that the leftist media in America secured defeat from the jaws of victory.
It wasn’t just the efforts of the…media to undermine the efforts and exertions of our men and women in that war. It was the denigrating invectives that met our Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines upon coming home. To think that these brave men and women who served their nation were called “baby killers” and other horrific demeaning names is unconscionable. It’s a blight we continue to try and overcome to this day.
But, what amazes me is that we treated these Americans so horribly who left their homes as this country asked of them, yet an organization that does kill babies goes untouched, and is actually praised in many circles.
As reported by Townhall.com, “Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion [murder of unborn babies] provider, quietly released its 2016-2017 annual report over the New Year’s holiday weekend.
The abortion [murder of unborn babies] provider’s latest report shows that the number of patients, 2.4 million, has remained the same since 2015. However, the number of patients seen at Planned Parenthood has dropped almost 23 percent from the 3.1 million they reported ten years ago in 2006.
While the number of patients is the same since its 2015 report, the organization’s excess revenue increased from $77.5 million in 2015 to $98.5 million this past year. This means that the provider’s excess revenue after spending increased by a whopping 27 percent over just one year.
Planned Parenthood performed 321,384 abortions [murders of unborn babies] over this past year, a very slight decrease from the 328,348 abortions [murder of unborn babies] in 2015. However, since 2006 the number of abortions [murders of unborn babies] Planned Parenthood performs annually has increased by nearly 11 percent.
There was also a slight drop in taxpayer funding since their last report. They went from $554.6 million in 2015 to $543.7 million this past year, a less than 2 percent drop which is still a 61 percent increase in taxpayer funding from 2006. The abortion [murder of unborn babies] organization’s president Cecile Richards often touts their contraception services, however these continued to drop in 2016, nearly four percent since the last report going from 2,808,815 in 2015 to 2,701,866.
This is a 48 percent drop from 4,009,549 in 2009. Planned Parenthood also provided less prenatal care this year reporting only 7,762 prenatal care services, an 18 percent drop from the 9,419 they reported in 2015. Over the past ten years prenatal care has been on the decline, dropping nearly 30 percent since 2006.”
Yes, I added the [murder of unborn babies] language because you “abort” a mission, but what Planned Parenthood does is murder – kill — unborn babies. And it’s about time we stop pussyfooting around and trying to soften the language of what they do. We also know they’re in the business of harvesting murdered baby body parts for sale. Isn’t it very funny that investigative journalism is only accepted by the left when it benefits their ends? But if those means are used against them, well, it’s deemed illegal.
I suppose the liberal progressive left has no problem with how much the CEOs at Planned Parenthood get paid. As reported by the Washington Examiner, “Salaries of CEOs at Planned Parenthood affiliates have skyrocketed to an average of $237,999 and hit $389,514 in the group’s headquarters, according to a new review from the American Life League, a critic. In the report on CEO pay, the group found that all 56 CEOs in the system make over $100,000 a year, one-tenth of Planned Parenthood’s boss Cecile Richards, who made $957,952, said the report. The report said that the average Planned Parenthood CEO is “in the top five percent of all workers in the United States.” Pretty good for a non-profit organization, but I guess murdering unborn babies pays very well, as opposed to standing for life.
So, here we are with an organization that’s supposed to be a non- profit, yet they’re running a $98.5 million profit, called “excess revenue.” I often speak at various pro-life organizations such as Vitae and Care Net in Santa Fe, New Mexico. These organizations would be thrilled to have excess revenues of almost $100 million, as a non-profit.
Why is it that this organization, centered on murdering unborn babies is so profitable? But even more so, why is it that an organization like Planned Parenthood, founded by a known white supremacist and racist, Margaret Sanger, receives $543.7 million in taxpayer funding? If that be the case, then why don’t have pro-life non-profit organizations also receiving taxpayer funding?
The real question is of course, why are taxpayer dollars funding an organization founded by a racist? After all, I though the left hated white supremacists and racists…oh yeah, I forgot, if the white supremacists and racists are their own, such as Senator Robert Byrd, and Margaret Sanger, it’s ok. I guess what the progressive socialist left, the Democrat Party, is saying is it’s ok to kill off the “weeds” and “undesirables” — “deplorables” — as Margaret Sanger expressed. Why don’t we refer to Planned Parenthood as racist “baby killers?” That’s an accurate assertion based on their founding, history, and what they do — which their own annual report outlines? Why is it so doggone hard for GOP legislators to do what seems appropriate — and easy — simply defund Planned Parenthood of American taxpayer funding? Perhaps our Representatives and Senators are just fine with murders of unborn babies?
What is even more absurd — and we shared this with you last year — is that a California court ordered pro-life organizations to advertise the murder of unborn babies. Now, ask yourself, who forces Planned Parenthood to advertise life in their locations, a majority of which are located in inner city neighborhoods — in keeping with Margaret Sanger’s vision? The left is going all over the country tearing down Civil War statues, so…when will they tear down tributes to Margaret Sanger? After all, her vision has resulted in the deaths of over 13 million unborn black babies since 1973. Anyone else would refer to that as a genocide, but for the liberal progressive left, well, that’s just how they do business.
That one sentence above makes the case against Planned Parenthood an oxymoronic title, emphasis on moron. This organization exists to kill babies. Funny, the left denigrated our troops returning from Vietnam as baby killers, but supports an organization whose very business is based on it. How doggone bizarre!
