Nazis, ANTIFA, and the Real America

Jonathan Paine

This has been a crazy week, to say the least. But there’s a few things that America needs to know.

1. History Is Neither Good Nor Bad

History merely is what it is. A record of the wrongs, rights, mistakes, and triumphs that made us what and who we are today. It is vital that we understand history from all sides, glorifying the good, acknowledging the bad, learning from all.

The slave trade was awful. The Civil War was awful. The racist bigotry and hatred evidenced (largely by one party in particular) since then is awful as well. But that was then. This is now.

America has had a black president. We have had leaders, businessmen, and everything in between from all different races, walks of life, countries, religions, etc., etc.

The fact remains that America is the freest nation in the history of the world. No country has ever seen such strides and social advances in such a short amount of time. We’ll never move to the future, and the past will never be in the past unless we allow the past to be in the past.

2. Changing History is Dangerous

Auschwitz is probably the most evil, vile place on earth. Yet it still stands today. And millions of people have had their lives changed for the better by visiting it.

There is no glory in it. Rather there are lessons from our past that can be forgotten. And if they are ever forgotten, we will all suffer.

The same holds true for the Civil War monuments the Left and ANTIFA are bent on destroying. While there may be an argument for putting some in museums, destruction of historical fact is reckless and dangerous.

3. Both Neo-Nazis and ANTIFA are the Bad Guys

Never allow yourself to be boxed into a dichotomy of choices. There is always a third option. If someone is telling you that you must choose between Nazis and ANTIFA, they are wrong. If you feel that you have to make a choice between Nazis and ANTIFA, you are wrong.

The 2 groups are actually strikingly similar in their beliefs.

Nazis* are hate-filled socialists who despise America’s founding biblical and Constitutional principles.

ANTIFA are by-and-large hate-filled communists who despise America’s founding biblical and Constitutional principles.

Nazi or ANTIFA? Neither. Choose Truth.

Truth that all men are created equal. Truth that they are endowed by their Creator with inalienable rights including life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Truth that governments are created to protect those rights.

The Real America

Despite the amount of media coverage and hype, Nazis and ANTIFA are a tiny insignificant minority in America. The vast, expansive majority of Americans want nothing to do with those mindless, hate filled, nonsense, garbage ideologies.

The majority of Americans still believe in the real America.

*Nazis are not a “far-right” group by any stretch of the imagination. Don’t legitimize their nonsense by referring to them as the right. They are big-government leftists. They’re just racist big-government leftists.
