PROCLAIM LIBERTY THROUGHOUT THE LAND!!!! Today’s reading is a reminder of the importance of rest, the Sabbath, setting time aside for the Lord. Whether the Day of Atonement or the Sabbath or other days set aside, clearly God as our designer/creator/manufacturer knew how we are wired and knew we needed these things. And He’s pretty serious about not taking His name in vain. Don’t know about you, but reading these passages convicts me of being not serious enough about the things He is serious about.
