I’ll never forget the 1st time I met Charlton Heston. After his speech that night and the standing ovation, he gave an “encore” by coming back to the mic and dramatically reciting the story of the death of Moses from our reading today. It was more than 2 decades ago and I still remember my state of awe at the power he brought to the story.
