About the Course
In 2018, the Rick Green and Patriot Academy joined forces with the premier firearms & self-defense training organization in the nation, Front Sight Firearms Training Institute (located in Pahrump, NV), to create a multi-day intensive firearms and constitutional training event. A unique experience, taught by the experts, that you won’t find anywhere else in the nation!
Because Front Sight shares our vision for educating Americans about the Constitution, they have teamed up with Patriot Academy to teach their members about the 2nd Amendment and the entire Constitution. This has made it possible for our friends, family, Patriot Academy Alumni, attendees of one of our live presentations, radio audience, and anyone attending with our good friend Joe Messina to get special pricing for these classes (a massive 90% discount to be exact!).
Our Constitutional Defense Course is a unique blend of Front Sight’s 2-Day Defensive Handgun Course; and Rick’s 1-Day Constitution Class, for a total of 3-Days of firearms and intellectual training. If you are interested in taking Front Sight’s extended 4-Day Defensive Handgun Course (we highly recommend upgrading if you can take the time! Read more on this below), then you will experience a total of 5-Days of firearms and intellectual training.
The firearms training will be conducted by Front Sight’s outstanding instructors and will include practical self-defense tactics with handguns. Whether you have never held a gun before or you consider yourself extremely proficient with firearms, you will LOVE taking this class at Front Sight! Front Sight’s philosophy is to teach you both the basics and the little known secrets of self-defense, and then practice them until you’ve mastered them. By the end of this course, you will be able to spot a threat, present your sidearm from concealment and fire two controlled shots to the vital area on the threat in just 1.5 seconds. That’s right, 1.5 seconds!
Front Sight’s facilities are in Pahrump, Nevada. Pahrump is located about fifty minutes outside of Las Vegas. Front Sight is the nation’s largest and most successful self-defense training facility, with over 50,000 students attending their programs every year. The Green Family has been training multiple times a year at Front Sight since 2012. It’s basically gun heaven!

Who Can/Should Attend?
This course is for everyone, whether you have never held a weapon before or are extremely experienced. For more detailed information on the class, click this link to view Front Sight’s website. We are a family-friendly training program. We actually recommend Front Sight as a wonderful thing to experience with the whole family. Minors must be 11 to attend and must be accompanied by a parent. Any minor under 16 must be on the same range as their parent and the parent must be responsible for only one minor. We have had multiple families join us with 11 year olds who did outstanding! Training Costs
Although this 3-Day class normally costs $1,000, our partnership with Front Sight has allowed us to set aside a limited number of slots for this special course at a fraction of the cost… just $99 for each person. That includes both the cost of the firearms course, getting to join the Patriot Academy range, and the Constitution Training!
5-Day Class Option: If you would like to do 2 additional days of training while you are in Pahrump, which has twice as much time in simulation situations, advanced tactics on the range, and much more, we can also get you a great discount! These additional two days typically cost another $1,000. We have also obtained a discount on this course, allowing you to take this for an additional $100, for a total of $199 for each person. We HIGHLY recommend taking advantage of this discount and attending the 5-Day Course, as there is no guarantee that this discount will be available in the future.
If you would like to rent a firearm for your course, we can also provide a discount for you. Rentals include the firearm, holster, magazines, magazine pouch, and belt. Items not included in the rental and required for the course are headwear, eye protection (sunglasses or prescription), and electronic hearing protection (electronic shooting muffs).
Please Note: Every attendee must also pay for a $50 background check. We will include this in your invoice after registration is complete.
Other Costs
Please Note: Our partnership with Front Sight allows for huge discounts on their training, as listed above. There are additional costs to keep in mind that Patriot Academy is not responsible for, such as booking flights, hotels, getting to Front Sight, etc. To obtain our discounts and ensure a smooth process for attending a course, our team will handle all communication with you and Front Sight for signing up for the course. We will communicate with you and handle all the paperwork to get you registered. Outside of the actual discounted course costs, you will need to pay for and handle everything else, such as travel, lodging, meals, gear, and ammunition.
How to Sign up for the Course with Joe Messina
In an effort to help as many people as we can get high quality training, we have tried to make the sign up process for this course as simple as possible. We do this by having our team work with Front Sight to complete most of the paperwork for your course. Moreover, because of the relationship that we have built with Front Sight, some requirements (such as character witness statements signed from people in your community) are completely waived.

We will then fill out all of your paperwork and get you signed up for the course.
