The most important thing we can each do this year to restore liberty in our land is to make sure we have the foundation of principles necessary to do so. We’re going to read through the entire Bible this year, using The Founder’s Bible, and I hope you’ll join in the journey and the conversation. It’s just 6 pages a day, perhaps 10-15 minutes for most people.
My favorite part of yesterday’s reading was the Benjamin Rush article on page 10 where he said, “I shall be better satisfied if the same can be said of me as was said of the prophet of old, “That I walked in the fear of the Lord, and begat sons and daughters.” [Gen. 5:22], than if it were inscribed upon my tombstone that I governed the councils or commanded the arms of the whole continent of America.”
In other words, first things first. While we are fighting for foundational freedoms of our Nation, let’s get wisdom from God’s Word and instill that in our own children and grandchildren.
For today’s reading, pages 13-18 (up to the beginning of Ch. 15), I was most struck by the fact that when Abram’s nephew, Lot, was kidnapped… Abram’s men were ALREADY trained for battle and he was able to go rescue Lot and the rest. The men were raised in Abram’s home and trained. Are we training those under our influence? Spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and yes, physically ready to fight and defend, to stand for good and defeat evil.
Lastly for today’s reading, which included the story of Noah, make sure you plan a visit for your family to The Ark Encounter. It is absolutely amazing. https://arkencounter.com/
